Job Summary:

This Radiologic Technologist position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a key member of the diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating stationary and portable x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated regions of the body. Your expertise will also be utilized to supervise and instruct students in the clinical areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures, adjusting equipment to correct settings for each examination.
• Accurately position patients to fully utilize photometer and perform appropriate QA on images generated prior to submission to Radiologist.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient care activities related to radiology, including patient preparation, informed consent, and injection of IV contrast.
• Utilize Radiology Information System (EPIC) for scheduling, tracking, and completion of procedures, as well as downtime procedures and PACS.
• Work collaboratively with other technologists, nurses, and healthcare professionals to maintain high standards in Radiology.

Requirements:

• Graduation of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program and must obtain ARRT certification within 6 months of employment.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist License or NYS Radiologic Technologist Temporary Permit required for positions in New York State.
• Minimum of six months preferred as a registered technologist in a Radiology Department of a general acute-care hospital.
