We are seeking a highly qualified English tutor to join our team at Lanier Technical College. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support to students in the English language and literature program.

• Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in English language and literature courses.
• Develop and implement effective tutoring strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Assess student progress and adjust tutoring plans accordingly.
• Communicate with students, faculty, and staff to ensure seamless support services.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance tutoring skills and knowledge.

• Current LTC student with an overall GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the area of English, or an applicant that demonstrates the ability and experience in the area of English.
• Successful completion of all the following sequence of classes with a minimum grade of "B" in the course: ENGL 1101 Composition and Rhetoric; ENGL 1102 Literature and Composition; ENGL 2130 American Literature; or ENGL 2110 World Literature.
• Unofficial transcripts must be included with the application.

• Bachelor's degree in English, English Education, or closely related field from a regionally accredited College or University.
• Previous work experience as a tutor.

This position is available at all Lanier Tech campuses, and day and evening times are available. Tutoring positions are temporary, part-time positions of employment that are appointed on a per-academic-term basis.
