HSE Drilling Specialist

The HSE Drilling Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting health and safety programs specifically related to drilling operations. This role ensures that all drilling activities comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement HSE programs tailored to drilling operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of drilling sites to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide training and guidance to drilling personnel on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with drilling teams, contractors, and management to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics related to drilling activities, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure emergency response plans are in place and regularly tested to handle potential drilling-related incidents.
- Stay current with industry developments and regulatory changes, advising management on potential impacts to drilling operations.
- High school diploma (or GED).
- Minimum of two (2) years of E&P (or related H&S) experience.
- Working knowledge and experience in Drilling operations.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR.
- Ability to pass a respiratory fit test, if applicable to route/location.
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
- Working knowledge in Completions and Production operations.
- Relevant technical certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, OHST, ASP).
The HSE Drilling Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to loud noises, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons.
