S&P Global Commodity Insights is seeking talented individuals to join our IMPACT program within our Upstream Solutions line. This 18-month rotational program will provide you with a unique opportunity to explore diverse functions in a particular business line, build global connections, acquire new skills, and find alignment between your interests and career path.

Opportunities in the Fields of:
  • Product Management: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to deliver next-generation products across well, production, land, emissions, carbon capture, and other critical data elements of the Upstream business and energy transition.
  • Software Solutions: Join a multi-disciplinary team that builds software enabling critical investment decisions across Energy sectors, leveraging S&P proprietary data and the latest geoscience, engineering, visualization, and AI/ML capabilities.
  • Insights/Thought Leadership: Bring clients – oil & gas companies, regulators, capital providers, and relevant stakeholders worldwide – the most trusted strategic and commercial insights drawn from our unique research and datasets, analytical frameworks, and deep industrial expertise.
  • Data Science: Leverage the latest technologies in machine learning, AI, and data science to create more efficient and better predictive tools for our customers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science is preferred. Petroleum engineers, geoscience, economics, finance, business management, data science, data analytics) also welcomed and graduating by June 2025.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience and some familiarity with the energy sector.
  • Curiosity of global markets and overall interconnected energy business ecosystem.
  • Strong Office 365 application skills including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to research complex issues and write coherent analyses.
  • Modeling and data science experience is a plus.
  • Excellent reading and writing skills in international business English, effective communication skills, and a natural bent for multi-tasking.
  • Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills – should be able to independently troubleshoot and question data that does not follow logic.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and aptitude for self-learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus, and hold a high regard for stakeholder relationships.
