Job Title: Senior Java/AWS Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java/AWS Developer to support our client in Washington, DC. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and implementing complex IT solutions for passenger rail transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in client discussions to analyze business requirements and priorities.
  • Perform analysis, design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale IT solutions.
  • Architect and design IT solutions that meet both functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop, test, and implement critical business applications with a focus on high availability and performance.
  • Develop cloud-native services using AWS technologies (EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, etc.).
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issues.
  • Work with the product team to create and execute test plans using Test-Driven Development (JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock).
  • Maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support CI/CD processes using tools like Git, Maven, Gradle, and BitBucket.
  • Collaborate in an agile delivery environment, adhering to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Ensure application security by addressing vulnerabilities and implementing best practices.

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, test-driven development, and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with cloud-native applications and AWS technologies.
