Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examination Coordination: Coordinate and schedule ultrasound exams to ensure seamless alignment with other patient procedures.
  • Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are comfortably positioned and safely transferred for optimal imaging.
  • Technical Expertise: Tailor technical settings based on individual patient needs for precise diagnostic results.
  • Examination Performance: Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetric, and gynecological scans, as well as imaging for treatment planning and minor surgical procedures.
  • Procedural Support: Assist physicians in specialized procedures such as needle biopsies and amniocentesis, providing scanning, patient marking, and procedural support.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately maintain patient records and ensure comprehensive documentation of examination data.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and calibrate ultrasound equipment in accordance with physician guidance and clinical protocols.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to departmental policies, quality assurance programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Professional Development: Pursue ongoing professional development through educational programs, in-service training, and workshops to stay current with advancements in the field.
  • Patient Care: Demonstrate expertise in providing age-appropriate care to patients from newborns to geriatrics.
  • Customer Service: Deliver courteous and cooperative service to patients, staff, and visitors, while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to hospital guest relations standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a training program in Sonography from an approved school.
  • Licensure: Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) is required.
  • Certification: Current CPR certification is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years experience with abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular and echocardiogram is required.
