Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join our manufacturing team at Koehler Instrument Company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development. As a CNC machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality machined parts by planning, programming, and operating CNC work centers, including lathes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and set up CNC work centers, including lathes, and operate them to produce high-quality machined parts.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards, ensuring that all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop and write programs for CNC lathes, working from prints and specifications.
  • Edit existing programs as necessary and input new programs into CNC systems.
  • Monitor tools during operation for wear and breakage and maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and programming.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) and ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Knowledge of live tooling and sharpening tools is highly preferred.
  • Able to lift 100 lbs. with assistance and have good physical stamina.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Benefits

Koehler Instrument Company offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
