Job Summary:
Sonic Automotive is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our parts department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of parts to our body shop and wholesale accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Parts Manager and Body Shop: Work closely with the parts manager and body shop to determine immediate parts needs and ensure timely delivery.
- Deliver Parts and Maintain Log: Deliver parts to the body shop and maintain an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, requesting recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
- Verify Invoices and Payments: Verify that invoices match purchase orders for each pick-up and check payments received with invoices for each delivery.
- Unload Truck and Maintain Vehicle: Unload the truck each night, turn in all paperwork, and undelivered parts. Perform basic maintenance on the truck, including filling the tank with gas, checking oil, and keeping it clean.
- Assist with Stocking and Posting Orders: Help with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
- Maintain Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required
- Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: Ability to work effectively with the parts manager, body shop, and other departments.
- Attention to Detail: Accurate and thorough in maintaining logs and verifying invoices and payments.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move parts, and perform basic vehicle maintenance.
