Position Summary: Operator – Assembler

The Operator – Assembler plays a crucial role in operating and managing designated machinery and equipment to produce parts or products intended for the medical device field. Responsibilities also encompass quality assurance, assembly, packaging, labeling, and product movement.

Available Shifts:

  • 2nd shift: 2:30 PM - 11 PM, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

Duties of the Operator – Assembler

  • Inspect, trim, clean, and package products according to customer specifications
  • Utilize the Bill of Material (BOM) to gather necessary materials
  • Comprehend and apply Operational Quality Inspections (OQI's)
  • Operate measuring tools (gauge pins, calipers, tape measures)
  • Mix chemicals and materials as required
  • Ensure product quality throughout the production process
  • Conduct periodic checks on output quality
  • Execute assigned tasks through various production techniques including hot stamping, sonic welding, pad printing, resistance welding, and silicone back filling
  • Promptly identify and report faulty equipment
  • Perform assembly and secondary production tasks

Operator – Assembler Requirements

  • Experience with microscope usage
  • Familiarity with cleanroom environment protocols and regulations
  • Understanding of machinery and equipment operation
  • Ability to interpret work instructions, prints, and IP's
  • Basic mathematical skills and concepts
  • Competence in reading, comprehending, and documenting work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training materials
  • Mechanical aptitude and dexterity
  • Strong hand-eye coordination
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in a cleanroom setting
  • Over 2 years of experience in medical device assembly or manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
