Job Summary

The Senior Program Manager is a key member of the Royal Caribbean Group's New Generation program, responsible for managing newbuilds, special projects, and vessel revitalization across all corporate brands. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of program managers, assistant program managers, program associates, and coordinators to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project scope, customer expectations, and overall project focus using project management tools and industrial engineering techniques.
  • Collaborate with internal clients, stakeholders, and global partners to gather, analyze, and report data for recommended courses of action.
  • Proactively strategize, manage, plan, and drive activities of new ship design, ship revitalization, or technical project processes to ensure project completion within prescribed time frames and budgets.
  • Manage all aspects of project planning, tracking, and status reporting, including budget forecasting, cost controls, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, including Directors, Vice Presidents, and Company Officers.
  • Stay current with industry trends, especially as related to contemporary project management techniques, and recommend process improvements using an innovative mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience, with 4-5 years of experience leading a team.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven experience in leading a medium to large-sized team of professionals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with clear and precise communication at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strength in communicating in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of accounting rules for expense and capital activities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, financial, and spreadsheet modeling skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project required.

Language Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, business periodicals, financial reports, legal documents, and government regulations.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
