Job Title: Mechanical Superintendent CTRail

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Superintendent to lead our CTRail project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail rolling stock, including locomotives, cab cars, and coaches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel to perform routine and preventive maintenance on rail rolling stock.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, purchasing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including FRA and other state and local regulations.
  • Manage budgets and resources to deliver high-quality maintenance services within budgetary constraints.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in passenger or commuter rail operations, with a focus on maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with experience managing teams and budgets.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to present to senior leadership and governing boards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, including rail equipment maintenance and train control/signal system software.
