Job Title: Patient Service Representative

This is a permanent full-time position available at our San Jose location.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Process new patient orders according to company policies.
  • Schedule appointments for equipment setup and delivery.
  • Perform scheduled follow-up phone calls to patients using home respiratory medical equipment.
  • Verify insurance coverage and request authorization as needed.
  • Review patient records for accurate and up-to-date information prior to processing supply requests.
  • Process new patient supply requests and confirm delivery prior to billing.
  • Update patient records with relevant information, including physician orders, insurance authorizations, and equipment serial numbers.
  • Review patient records for completeness and accuracy prior to billing.
  • Manage incoming electronic documents and file them electronically.
  • Monitor and update patient equipment usage data via direct downloads and/or remote access.
Requirements:
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and telephone skills.
  • Honest, reliable, and responsible team player.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong typing skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and private medical insurance.
  • Passion for helping people and working with a team.
