Job Overview

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is a leading medical group in New England, providing high-quality care to patients across Connecticut and Rhode Island. We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team in the urology department.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in nursing, national certification in advanced practice, and current CPR certification. With 2 years of experience in urology, preferably, you will be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, taking lead when necessary. Excellent clinical management skills, positive customer-focused approach, and commitment to providing excellent patient care are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate urology patients presenting with urgent and/or elective kidney stones
  • Manage patients following emergency care and surgery
  • Counsel patients on stone prevention and schedule patients for stone surgery, when appropriate
  • Coordinate care for testing for metabolic stones evaluations, collaborating with urologists, nephrologists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide direct patient care in office consultations, including assessment, workups, triage, emergency work-ins, and other patient care activities
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing
  • National Certification in Advanced Practice and current CPR certification
  • Current State of CT APRN license with prescriptive authority and current DEA number
  • 2 years of experience in urology, preferably
  • Excellent clinical management skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care
