Job Summary

The Director of Nursing is a key leadership position at American Addiction Centers, responsible for overseeing the medical department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage all aspects of the medical department, including staff supervision, budgeting, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and Facility Director to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections of medical charts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to address client and staff needs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, including performance evaluations, training, and development opportunities.
  • Manage the medical department budget and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • BSN degree and at least 10 years of experience as a registered nurse, with 5 years in a management or supervisory role in a treatment facility or hospital setting.
  • Three to five years of experience in addiction treatment preferred.
  • RN license in the state of practice.
  • Certification in addiction preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to read, write, and interpret written information.
