Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PPS Coordinator Inpatient Rehabilitation to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for coordinating the care of inpatient rehabilitation patients, ensuring that they receive the highest quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate PPS/PAI data and transmit it to CMS, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in maintaining current educational requirements for all disciplines.
  • Collaborate with the medical staff, patients, and families to coordinate care and provide a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Assess nursing needs, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes of care.
  • Provide direct care within scope and practice, delegating and collaborating with other disciplines and non-licensed staff as needed.
  • Assist the Admission Coordinator as necessary to increase efficiency.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Current Texas licensure/certification and a minimum of a BS degree in a relevant field (nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, or occupational therapy).
  • Registered Occupational Therapist (ROT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Licensed Physical Therapist, Speech Pathologist, or Registered Nurse.
  • Clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation patient care and management.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience in inpatient rehab, with 1 year experience coordinating PPS and IRF-PAI.
  • Pass the licensed personnel FIM exam within 60 days of hire and maintain the facilities UDS-PRO credential.
  • Advanced certification preferred.
