Key Responsibilities:

  • Unpacks incoming merchandise deliveries from suppliers or returns from customers, organizing items on shelves or designated locations as indicated by electronic scanning devices, adhering to established protocols and quotas.
  • Accurately pulls orders for standard customer stock requests, special orders, and main counter demands, ensuring completeness and routing products appropriately while meeting management's picking quotas.
  • Utilizes electronic scanning equipment to verify outbound customer orders for accuracy, ensures safe packaging for shipment, and labels shipping trays/packages in compliance with D.O.T. regulations.
  • Generates detailed summaries of each shipment through buck slips and/or freight bills, ensures proper processing of customer orders, including the removal of shipping trays from conveyor systems, and organizes large parts and shipping trays for each customer on their designated skids.
  • Plans, organizes, and loads delivery trucks from skids, accurately recording piece counts for customers on buck slips and entering freight bills into the computer system.
  • Maintains cleanliness by disposing of boxes, packing materials, and pallets, along with general housekeeping of the facility and specific product areas. Follows all safety regulations, including the handling of hazardous materials, and loads customer orders into delivery trucks in the correct sequence according to freight bills.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in stocking, loading, or order pulling.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding part numbers and line codes for accurate identification of items for placement in the facility.
  • Ability to write legibly.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to operate a computer terminal.
  • Ability to perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds and push/pull up to 300 pounds using appropriate equipment.
  • Ability to move heavy equipment with aids such as hand trucks, dollies, motorized carts, and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to bend or stoop to ground level shelves and reach upper shelves (up to 8 feet) using a stool or ladder when necessary.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for the duration of assigned work shifts.
