Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team at Saxon Global. This is a critical role that involves designing, developing, and implementing data consumption tools for our Data & Analytics Platform.

About the Role

  • This position requires strong expertise in data engineering processes, including experience with Azure technologies like Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake analytics, HDInsights, and DataBricks.
  • You will work closely with business users to design, develop, test, and implement business intelligence solutions in our platform.
  • Responsibilities also include solving complex application errors, documenting all phases of work, and assisting in assessing alternative software solutions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of IT experience encompassing SDLC, data modeling, advanced SQL techniques, data pipeline engineering, and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience working with industry-leading Business Intelligence tools, database technologies, and Azure Cloud technologies.

Estimated Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 per year.

  1. Develop Data Engineering Processes: Utilize your expertise in Azure technologies to design, develop, and implement data engineering processes that drive business value.
  2. Collaborate with Business Users: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design, develop, test, and implement business intelligence solutions that meet their needs.
  3. Solve Complex Errors: Proactively identify and resolve complex application errors, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations.
