Key Responsibilities
  • Fund Accounting and Operations
    • Prepare supporting workpapers and reports to support internal and external clients' needs, including:
    • Monthly accounting close processes
    • Private Investment and Hedge Fund monthly valuation/pricing processes
    • Monitoring private investment activity (calls and distributions)
    • Consolidation processes
    • Monthly, quarterly, and annual investment reports
    • Bank and external fund manager reconciliations
    • Audit work papers and other information
  • Investment Performance
    • Perform analytics and prepare supporting workpapers and reports for internal and external clients' needs, including:
    • Investment manager returns
    • Alpha and Value add versus manager benchmarks
    • Attribution reports
  • Individual Endowment Accounting
    • Maintain and provide support for subledger accounting systems and reporting for underlying unitholders in various funds, including:
    • Monthly/Quarterly contributions and redemptions
    • Monthly/Quarterly distributions
    • Client and donor reporting
  • Charitable Trust Tax Returns and Reports
    • Prepare tax forms and associated donor reporting as required
  • Derivative Trading Support and Reporting
    • Work in conjunction with custodian and traders to facilitate trades, documentation, and reporting
  • Organizational Health
    • Build relationships across the OAR team and all other UTIMCO teams to foster an excellent culture within the organization
  • Ad Hoc Project and Reporting Requests
    • Participate in projects and prepare special ad hoc reporting requests as assigned
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 1-5 years of experience in public accounting or other financial services accounting role
  • Elevated attention to detail as well as strong verbal/written communications skills and presence to communicate effectively
  • Collegial team player possessing intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and thoughtfulness
  • Constructive, can-do attitude committed to consistently doing what is in the best interest of the organization
  • Unquestioned honesty, integrity, and transparency
  • Cultural fit is a must in a respectful, collegial, and open working environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Power BI or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or CPA
