Sleep Lab Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Lab Technician to join our team at Owensboro Health 2. As a Sleep Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies, collecting and analyzing data, and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct sleep studies, including polysomnography and multiple sleep latency testing
- Collect and analyze data, including sleep stages, clinical events, and other relevant information
- Provide high-quality patient care, including explaining procedures, orienting patients, and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Prepare and calibrate equipment, including polysomnography machines and other diagnostic tools
- Perform routine PAP mask fitting and apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted standards
- Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, and complete the data collection process
- Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to guidelines and protocols
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required; Associate's degree in a health-related field preferred
- Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) certification preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of employment
- 0-4 years of progressive experience in a related field required
