Scope of Position

As an Instructional Designer at Oklahoma Chiller Corporation, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing training programs aimed at advancing the skills and knowledge of professionals in the Commercial HVAC industry. Your focus will be on creating effective, engaging learning experiences that help HVAC technicians meet our standards and excel in their roles.

Responsibilities
  • Develop Curriculum: Design and develop detailed training materials, modules, and curricula specifically for commercial HVAC systems, focusing on installation techniques, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting methods, and industry best practices.
  • Create Learning Content: Develop interactive and multimedia content, including e-learning modules, instructional videos, and training manuals, to support diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Facilitate Training: Coordinate and implement training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtually, ensuring content delivery is engaging and effective.
  • Assess Learning Outcomes: Design and implement assessment tools to evaluate participants' understanding and competencies, using data to refine and improve training programs.
  • Incorporate Safety and Best Practices: Integrate safety protocols and industry best practices into training materials to foster a culture of safety and compliance among HVAC technicians.
  • Stay Current: Continuously research and integrate the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices into training content to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members to ensure training materials align with organizational goals and industry standards.
Requirements
  • AAS in Instructional Design, Education, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and developing technical training programs, ideally in the commercial HVAC sector.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories, and e-learning technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • A track record of successful project management and collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining Oklahoma Chiller Corporation's high standards of excellence.
