Job Summary:
Collect blood specimens from adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients using proper patient identification and infection control measures. Enter test requests into the laboratory computer system. Perform other support duties such as answering phone calls, handling questions from medical staff, ordering supplies, and investigating discrepant patient orders. Comply with our organization's C.A.R.E.S. standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 1 year of experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Current BLS certification through any ILCOR-approved course.

Physical Demands:
Good physical health required. Some requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for long periods. Lifting at least 50 pounds is necessary. Moderate level of noise expected.
Physical Effort required:

Constant - pushing/pulling, handling/feeling, talking, hearing, seeing
Frequently - NONE
Occasionally - lifting, carrying, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching
