Key Responsibilities:

A production worker at Nucor Rebar Fabrication is responsible for bending, cutting, bundling, and loading reinforcing steel bars according to customer specifications. You will receive training from a mentor on the safe operation of all machinery.


  • Unload trailers and organize materials in storage bins.
  • Utilize a shearing machine or power saw to cut reinforcing steel bars to required lengths, and operate a bending machine to shape the bars as specified.
  • Use an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select materials for fabrication or shipment.
  • Assemble and load orders onto trailers for delivery.
  • Apply epoxy touch-ups or reinforcing steel bars using a spray gun.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must possess an OSHA 10 Card.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • This position is safety-sensitive; passing a drug test, including THC, is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Able to read and understand basic safety and operational instructions.
  • Competent in basic math for accurate bar measurements.
