Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Specialist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a Cardiovascular Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting with complex procedures, including PCI, EP procedures, and structural heart cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with complex procedures, including PCI, EP procedures, and structural heart cases
  • Troubleshoot imaging equipment and collaborate with biomedical engineers for service
  • Participate in procedural charging and maintain supply management
  • Act quickly under emergency situations and discuss with physician plan of action
  • Understand and work with x-ray system, including panning table and recognizing different angles
  • Manage access site, including proper removal of sheath, assessment of hematoma, and knowledge of hematoma management
  • Understand concepts of radiation safety and knowledgeable in coronary anatomy and recognizing different types of lesions
Requirements
  • Licensed AEMT or National Registered Paramedic (NRP) or graduate of accredited school of radiologic technology or accredited school of cardiovascular technology or academic program in health sciences
  • Must become registered as an ARRT with post-primary category of cardiac interventional radiography or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES obtained within 12 months of hire or promotion as a condition of continued employment
  • Preferred: Registered as ARRT with CI credential or RCIS or RCES
