Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department. This role involves managing a team of Maintenance Supervisors, Mechanics, and Electricians in a dynamic 24/7 environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee plant preventative maintenance initiatives, manage departmental labor, and maintain repair and maintenance budgets.
  • Conduct monthly Engagement and Alignment reviews with direct reports, including mid-year and year-end evaluations, along with goal-setting for the future.
  • Manage annual performance reviews, vendor contracts, and coordinate equipment installations and capital projects.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures through lean methodologies.
  • Develop and schedule training programs for maintenance staff, covering electrical, mechanical, and preventive maintenance for all production and process equipment.
  • Collaborate with various departments to implement effective maintenance programs.
  • Engage in inter-departmental lean initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting; a BA/BS in Business Management or Engineering (BSEE, BSME, BSCE) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in building cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft systems, including MS Teams.
  • Commitment to uphold Atkore's core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence in all daily activities.
Within the First Few Months:
  • Complete the Atkore Immersion Program.
  • Understand how your role contributes to Atkore's strategic objectives.
  • Familiarize yourself with your team and their responsibilities.
  • Review training materials and procedures relevant to your team.
Within Six Months:
  • Ensure your team comprehends their roles and identify improvement opportunities within the department.
  • Utilize the Atkore Business System for alignment and ongoing improvement.
Within a Year:
  • Develop and conduct job-specific process improvements to ensure all maintenance personnel are adequately trained.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations Leadership, Manufacturing Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, and Engineering to ensure accurate documentation and communication of process changes.
  • Implement modifications in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance manufacturing efficiencies.
