We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to serve as the Residency Site Coordinator for our sports and/or orthopedic residency program. This is an advanced career path opportunity for a Physical Therapist to partner across functional teams to elevate the practice standards of our local geography.
Responsibilities- Recruit and interview residency candidates to ensure a strong and diverse program.
- Assist in regular reporting to maintain residency credentialing and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct mentoring and mentor observation and evaluation to support the growth and development of our residents.
- Facilitate specialty observation with physicians and specialty providers to enhance the learning experience.
- Provide didactic and lab instruction and recruit and schedule other instructors to conduct didactic and lab sessions.
- Perform evaluations and establish a goal-based plan of care for patients, implementing regular objective reassessment points to track progress towards goal achievement.
- Establish care plans aligned to ATI Best Practice guidelines to achieve predictable and positive outcomes.
- Manage a caseload effectively, across the spectrum of each patient's plan of care, and delegate treatment among the clinical care team.
- Meet or exceed established performance expectations, including patient outcomes collection targets, scheduling practices, productivity, caseload management, and documentation compliance.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with referral sources and other relevant stakeholders in a patient's plan of care.
- Assist with daily clinic operational needs and tasks.
- Doctorate (DPT) or Clinical BS or MS in physical therapy with five years of clinical experience.
- Must have served as an instructor in entry-level or post-professional physical therapist education.
- 5+ years' experience as a licensed PT in an outpatient setting.
- Prior service as a residency director (OCS or SCS) or site coordinator role is preferred.
- Strong cross-stakeholder partnership and collaboration skills.
- Advanced presentation skills.
- Persuasive and influential, a champion for clinical advancement.
- Establishes self as a leader for the patient care team.
- Engaged, positive energy in work approach, serving as a valued team member for the clinic and district.
- Designs and structures treatment plans to enable best possible patient outcomes, leveraging tools, resources, and care team personnel effectively.
- Delegates care amongst the care-team effectively based on case complexity classification to enable all members of the care team to practice at the top of their license.
- Ability to effectively manage a care episode across a caseload of patients.
- Ability to set objective and achievable goals.
- Ability to adjust treatment plans based on patient outcomes data and measurable progress.
- Demonstrates best practices with patient schedule management.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Team player across the clinic and district.
- Flexible and adaptable to appropriately service patient needs and contribute to positive experience and outcomes.
- Completes work tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Operates with integrity - ensures work contributes positively to ATI's standards and practices, all within Compliance guidelines.
- Must hold board clinical certification (OCS, SCS).
- Licensed physical therapist in the state where they are serving.
- FAAOMPT credential for Orthopedic residency sites is preferred.
- Athletic Trainer for Sports residency sites is preferred.
