We are seeking a board-certified Music Therapist to join our team at Thom Child And Family Services in Norwood, MA.
Estimated Salary: $73,000 - $83,000 per yearJob DescriptionAs an Early Intervention Music Therapist, you will provide home and community-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays. You will partner with parents/caregivers to ensure individualized service delivery grounded in evidence-based practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Participating in multidisciplinary team assessments of client development status
- Providing direct services and activities for children 0-3 and their families
- Developing Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with identified goals and strategies
- Completing progress notes, reports, and correspondence as needed
You will assess family strengths, concerns, and progress while acting as service coordinator for the family. Additionally, you will facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development and assist families in advocating for their child's needs.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- Degree and professional credentials/board certification as a Registered Music Therapist
- Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development
- Ability to engage in meaningful therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners
- Commitment to delivering culturally humble services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills and strong documentation abilities
