Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Maintenance Automation Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. As a key member of our warehouse maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Utilize computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems to track and manage maintenance activities.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems, with a focus on Allen Bradley, Ignition, and Wonderware.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out, Fall Restraint, and Forklift/MHE Operational Safety.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of maintenance policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area, ensuring the facility is always tour-ready.
Requirements
  • Vocational or technical certification in a related field or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment.
  • Working knowledge of computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems.
  • Ability to use PLC and HMI programming software.
  • Experience with programming and troubleshooting servo and stepper motors.
  • Knowledge of operating MHE, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
