As a Rotor Pilot with Med-Trans, you will be part of a team of medical experts responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the medical transportation industry while serving as an active-duty U.S. Military Service Member.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with a team of medical professionals to ensure safe and efficient patient transportation.
- Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches, adhering to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Med-Trans requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including Medical Transportation Company (MTC) and regulatory requirements.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide shift change information to successive pilots and teams, following established protocols for recording Med-Trans change board details.
- Stay up-to-date with required certifications and ongoing training to maintain the highest level of expertise.
- Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
- Helicopter Instrument Rating
- Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
- 2000 Total Flight Hours (No conversion factor applied)
- 1500 Helicopter Hours
- 1000 Helicopter Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours
- 1000 Turbine Helicopter Hours
- 200 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided)
- 200 Instrument Hours (Actual/Hood/SIM)
- 50 Hours Actual Weather in Aircraft (IFR positions)
- Previous Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) experience or equivalent is preferred
