Position: General Laborer - Bundler - 2nd Shift
The Bundler collaborates with fellow fabrication shop personnel to unload, inspect, and prepare pipes for assembly and banding, following provided blueprints and sketches. This role is represented by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union.
This position demands a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with a keen eye for detail and precision.
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 3:45 PM - 4:15 AM; Friday 3:45 PM - 2:15 AM; Saturday - optional overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily unloading of pipes and transporting them to designated areas.
- Conduct Quality Control (QC) checks, including dye penetrant testing on welds and inspecting grooves, while reporting any discrepancies to the Quality Control Supervisor.
- Assist in the assembly of couplings and fittings, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
- Review job information sheets and technical instructions to execute tasks accurately.
- Operate pneumatic tools when necessary.
- Input data into the computer system and interpret information to perform tasks effectively.
- Utilize strong mathematical skills regularly.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Basic computer proficiency is essential.
- Technical or vocational training is advantageous.
- Experience operating tow motors is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and self-motivate is crucial.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
- Must be capable of lifting at least 50 pounds.
