Palliative Care Nurse Specialist

Minnesota Oncology is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Palliative Care RNCC, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough nursing assessments and document patient teaching in the patient chart.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Provide professional nursing care to patients, adhering to established standards and practices.
- Act as a resource person to medical assistants and other staff members.
- Triage patient phone calls and document relevant information in the patient's chart.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching, instructional materials, and community resource information.
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care needs are met.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
- Current MN licensure and registration required.
- Current or pending OCN certification preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- 2-3 years of nursing experience with IV experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs is also required.
