Wood Finisher

Schwieters Companies Inc. is seeking a skilled Hand Sander to join our Prefinish Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for manually and electrically sanding wood materials to ensure high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and sand wood materials to meet company quality standards
• Work collaboratively with the department lead to ensure timely completion of work orders
• Operate a stand/sit forklift as needed to pick material
• Participate in a team environment to achieve maximum efficiency and 100% complete and on-time deliveries
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department lead

Requirements:

• Basic finishing knowledge preferred
• Ability to follow company quality standards and maintain attention to detail
• Comfortable learning to operate a sander and a forklift
• Good work history and ability to lift 50+ lbs. comfortably
• Self-motivated, self-directed team player and team builder
• Able to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions, have good communication skills (verbal and written), and be detail oriented
• Capable of standing for extended periods of time
• Flexible in working overtime when necessary

Work Schedule:

• Monday thru Friday, 6am-2:30pm, overtime as needed

Pay:
