Job Title: Nurse Tech PRN Nights

Mass General Brigham is seeking a per diem / prn nurse RN Fellowship for a per diem / prn nursing job in Boston, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

The Dotson Bridge and Mentoring Program serves African American, Latina, Asian, and Native American (ALANA) students in the nursing programs at Simmons University.

Through mentorship, leadership training, volunteerism, and career counseling, the program has empowered ALANA and first-generation nursing students for over a decade, investing in their success as learners, healthcare professionals, and leaders.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the healthcare team under RN supervision.
  • Assist patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs.
  • Respond to patient requests in a timely manner, closely safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner.
Requirements:
  • Must be a current Nursing Student at Simmons University and member of the Dotson Bridge and Mentoring Program or ALANA.
  • CNA related experience or currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed one clinical rotation.
  • HS Diploma
  • Knowledge of English language sufficient to read, speak, and write accurately
  • Knowledge of simple arithmetic
  • Ability to lift and transport patients using the appropriate physical technique in a safe manner for the patient and self
