Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic. This is a full-time position with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule with no nights, weekends, or call requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer anesthesia, monitor patients' vital signs, and oversee patient recovery from anesthesia.
  • Assist anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other physicians as needed.
  • Manage patient airway or pulmonary status using techniques such as endotracheal intubation and extubation, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, and respiratory therapy.
  • Select, prepare, or use equipment, monitors, supplies, or drugs, fluids, or blood products.
  • Perform pre-anesthetic screenings, including physical evaluations and patient interviews, and document results.
  • Monitor patients' responses, including skin color, pupil dilation, pulse, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, ventilation, or urine output, using invasive and noninvasive techniques.
  • Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
  • Develop anesthesia care plans.
  • Obtain informed consent from patients for anesthesia procedures.
  • Assess patients' medical histories to predict anesthesia response.
  • Perform and evaluate the results of diagnostic tests, such as radiographs and electrocardiograms.
  • Perform or manage regional anesthetic techniques, such as local, spinal, epidural, caudal, nerve blocks, and intravenous blocks.
  • Evaluate patients' post-surgical or post-anesthesia responses, taking appropriate corrective actions or requesting consultation if complications occur.
  • Administer post-anesthesia medications or fluids to support patients' cardiovascular systems.
  • Discharge patients from post-anesthesia care.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in nursing with a specific emphasis on anesthesia required.
  • At least five years of related experience required.
  • Must hold NBCRNA certification.
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certification.
Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an operating room and GI procedure room setting. Interactions with others are constant and interruptive. There is possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, bodily fluids, and other conditions common to medical practice. Varied activities, including walking, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), stooping, assisting patients, and sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time, may occur (up to 6-8 hours). Occasional stress from multiple responsibilities may also be present.
