Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Valorem SAS in Athens, Greece. This is a full-time permanent position with occasional business trips to project locations and headquarters in France.

About the Role

This role is focused on ensuring the optimal grid connection process for large-scale Wind and PV Projects. The successful candidate will guarantee the strategy and follow-up of the process while considering costs and delays.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Feasibility Studies: Conduct electrical feasibility studies of power plants for the MV internal network included in the electrical substation, taking into account technical constraints and specific requests from internal contractors.
  2. Connection Procedures: Carry out and supervise connection procedures with the system operator (TSO & DSO), including management and follow-up of administrative requests, grid connection agreements, and other DSO/STO agreements.
  3. International Collaboration: Work collaboratively with international teams based in France to establish the best strategy for solving identified issues.
  4. Leadership: Lead electrical studies conducted by subcontractors or the electrical engineering department, defining the scope of supply and ensuring technical clarifications and follow-up on work.
  5. Project Management: Provide technical support to the construction team during the tendering process and technical clarifications with subcontractors or the BOP.
  6. Documentation Management: Manage project documentation, including development, updating, and control of contractual and regulatory compliance of documents defining architectures and equipment, as well as execution documents.
Requirements
  • Holder of an electrical engineering degree or other applicable university qualification.
  • At least 3 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer in large-scale Wind and/or PV Projects.
  • Passion for the renewable energy industry.
  • Adaptable to changing conditions with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in an international environment.
  • Languages: Greek & English essential.
  • Good MS Office skills.
