Job Summary

Turning Point of Central California is seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to provide clinical services, direct treatment, and case management to patients and clients. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in behavioral science and be licensed in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage Family Child Therapist, or have a Master's degree in a related field with current intern registration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health services to children, youth, and families, including assessment, crisis intervention, individual and family therapy, plan development, group therapy, and case management.
  • Document service provision in electronic medical records (EMR) in a timely manner and in accordance with program standards.
  • Collaborate with community partners to coordinate care, identify resources, and reduce barriers for clients and families receiving mental health treatment.
  • Comply with program standards for documentation, evidence-based practices, treatment planning, discharge planning, and quality assurance.
  • Attend team/staff meetings and complete at least 40 hours of required training.
  • Follow reporting requirements for incidents of Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Adult Abuse, Dependent Adult Abuse, and Tarasoff warnings per California reporting laws.

Requirements

  • Licensed in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage Family Child Therapist, or have a Master's degree in a related field with current intern registration.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Office 365, etc.
  • Ability to operate communication/meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other platforms.
  • Ability to operate within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  • Must maintain good relationships with consumers, co-workers, government and civic representatives, and community members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken Spanish.
  • Required ability to communicate effectively with monolingual Spanish-speaking clients and families for all clinical purposes.
