Job Description

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce high-quality images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. You will take a patient-centered approach, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that each patient feels comfortable and informed throughout the exam process.

  • Screens patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged.
  • Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body, following physicians' orders precisely and maintaining accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including equipment, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
