Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at KidsPeace. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Building Automation: Monitor and adjust building automation programming to include HVAC, lighting, and door controls.
  • System Design and Troubleshooting: Design and size HVAC&R systems, troubleshoot and repair or replace components as necessary.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on all equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to after-hours emergencies as required and carry a departmental phone as necessary.
  • Clerical Tasks: Perform clerical tasks related to the position, including EPA regulations as required.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, graduate of an HVAC&R vocational technical training program required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the HVAC&R trade and building automation operation preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses: EPA certification for proper refrigerant practices required. Valid state driver's license required.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
