Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves working at a Trauma Level 4 Center and an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital.

Certification Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Room.
  • Participate in a 13-week contract focused on ER nursing.
  • Handle a variety of patient cases including abdominal pain, strokes, cardiac issues, trauma, and respiratory conditions.
Experience Requirements
  • Essential Skills: Prior experience in an ER setting is required.
Work Schedule
  • Shifts: Rotating shifts including 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 8a-5p, and 5p-5a.
  • Weekend Commitment: 2-3 weekends per 6-week schedule.
  • Holiday Availability: Required if coverage is necessary.
  • Self-Scheduling: Flexibility with assistance from management.
Unit Specifics
  • Facility Capacity: 9 treatment spaces, 2 overflow beds, and 2 triage rooms.
  • Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4-5.
  • Floating Requirements: Potential to float to Medical/Surgical, ICU, or OB units.
  • Dress Code: Black scrubs.
  • Orientation Duration: Approximately 2.5 days.

  • Charge Nurse: A charge nurse is present on each shift.
