Culinary Specialist

Hawthorn Suites By Wyndham - Odessa, TX is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Culinary Specialist to join our team.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.

We are looking for an individual who can prepare food for our patrons while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have experience in a kitchen environment and be able to follow recipes accurately.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Cleaning food preparation areas and adhering to health and safety regulations
• Preparing bulk food items before the arrival of guests
• Making adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions or preferences
• Acting as a liaison between front-of-house employees and kitchen staff to ensure proper food service temperature
• Following all HAACP and Food Safety regulations

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a cook or in a related field
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, preparing, and serving menu items
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Point of sale operation knowledge
• Current TABC and FOOD HANDLERS certification
