Position Overview:
As a Concrete Mixer Operator at GCC Services, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality concrete to various construction sites. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a truck equipped with a concrete mixer, ensuring timely and safe delivery of concrete mixes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the ready-mix truck in compliance with D.O.T. regulations.
  • Fill the water tank prior to each delivery.
  • Utilize maps and personal experience to determine the most efficient routes to job sites.
  • Safely maneuver the truck on potentially unstable ground conditions at delivery sites.
  • Add necessary ingredients such as fibers, chemical admixtures, and colors as required.
  • Manage paperwork and financial transactions as needed upon completion of deliveries.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch using two-way radios.
  • Participate in daily callouts to confirm start times.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to pass a Federal Department of Transportation drug screening and physical examination.
  • Maintain a clean driving record in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle cash transactions.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety and operational documents.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and work in varying temperature conditions.
