Job Summary and Qualifications

In this role, you will:

  • Rapidly assess and prioritize incoming patients.
  • Conduct thorough nursing evaluations and stabilize patients.
  • Deliver direct nursing care while supervising non-licensed staff in accordance with established protocols.
  • Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions, along with necessary referrals.

Qualifications:

- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. A Compact license is acceptable. A BSN is required within 24 months of hire.

- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is mandatory.

- A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care environment, with at least one year in the Emergency Department preferred.

- CEN and/or CPEN certifications are advantageous.

- PALS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be completed within one year of employment.

- TNCC/ENPC certification is required within 18 months.

- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Satori Alternatives Management of Aggression training must be completed within one year.
