Overview of Our Ambulatory Surgery Center

We are a committed, caring group of colleagues dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As a Surgical Care Specialist at our ambulatory surgery center, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute your expertise to ensure safe and effective nursing care.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the instrument and equipment set-up for your OR, including utilization of preference cards and anticipating your surgeons needs. You will also facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures, utilize appropriate body mechanics in moving patients to stretchers and OR tables, and manage patient care and medication.

Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment
  • ACLS as required by facility
