Our Acute Care New Grad RN position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced cardiovascular setting. You will work alongside a team of skilled nurses and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and develop your skills in a variety of specialties, including cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery.
Benefits of the Position
Closed Unit Structure – Our closed unit structure allows you to work in a specific area of the hospital, gaining experience and confidence in a variety of settings. This structure also provides opportunities for professional growth and development.
Work Experience – As a new graduate, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery. You will gain experience in caring for patients with a range of conditions, from heart failure to pulmonary hypertension.
Institution of the Stepdown Units – Our stepdown units provide a unique opportunity to work in a high-acuity setting, caring for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment. This experience will help you develop your skills in critical care and prepare you for a career in ICU nursing.
Incorporation of skills as an ICU and Acute Care – As a new graduate, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced nurses and healthcare professionals, developing your skills in critical care and acute care. This experience will prepare you for a career in ICU nursing and provide you with a strong foundation in patient care.
Flexible Scheduling – We offer flexible scheduling options to meet your needs, including 12-hour shifts and the option to choose your weekend shifts. You will also have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including days and nights.
Holiday Requirements – You will be required to work one winter and one summer holiday of your choice.

Responsibilities
As a New Grad RN in our Acute Care department, you will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and age-specific nursing care to patients and families. You will work in a team environment to deliver high-quality patient care and develop your skills in a variety of specialties.
Qualifications
We are seeking a new graduate with a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices. You will have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio. Prior experience in the acute care setting is preferred, but not required.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
