POSITION SUMMARY:
The Imaging and Diagnostic team operates under the guidance of the Imaging Manager, delivering patient care in accordance with the directives of the Imaging Manager and Radiologist.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently execute job responsibilities
- Prepare imaging equipment and position patients appropriately for procedures
- Input critical data into electronic medical records
- Coordinate patient scheduling for tests and procedures as necessary
- Work efficiently to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team
- Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills
- Possess the ability to understand and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word)
- Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities
- Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple ongoing tasks effectively
- Handle both inbound and outbound calls, as well as fax communications
- Manage inventory and supply stocking for medical materials
- Comply with standards of care, code of conduct, HIPAA regulations, and confidentiality agreements
- Display compassion and professionalism in all interactions
- Report to work as scheduled without delays
- Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and committees
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Exhibit a positive attitude
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited program with necessary AART certification
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association prior to permanent employment
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Mammography Technologist; both screening and diagnostic
- Proficient in 3-D Mammography techniques
- Ability to perform a range of standard mammography procedures with a focus on screening and diagnostic mammograms safely and effectively
- Knowledge and skills to obtain quality diagnostic studies
- Produce high-quality diagnostic mammograms while ensuring patient comfort within an integrated care plan
- Conduct various technical procedures requiring independent judgment, creativity, and initiative in equipment utilization for disease diagnosis and treatment
- Experience with Hologic Selenia Dimensions equipment
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
