Key Responsibilities- Accurately document patient visits, including comprehensive medical history, physical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress, particularly in high-risk or urgent situations.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations to assist with school admissions, employment considerations, or insurance eligibility.
- Advise patients on health maintenance, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention strategies.
- Provide prenatal and postnatal care for mothers and their infants.
- Perform surgical procedures within the scope of surgical expertise.
- Refer patients to specialists for additional consultation when necessary to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Oversee mid-level practitioners directly.
Licensure RequirementsMust possess a current, active license to practice Family Medicine in Missouri, along with a valid DEA and BNDD certificate. Board Certification in Family Medicine is required, as well as a current driver's license and CPR certification.
