We provide customized service and excellence in several primary practice areas, including ports and harbors, coastal, environmental, and water resources, urban waterfronts and marinas, transportation, bridges, and rail, inspection and rehabilitation, and energy.
Job DescriptionAs part of the Coastal Group, the Coastal Engineer plans and designs for urban waterfront and coastal structures projects, including marinas, marine terminals, urban waterfront developments, and cruise ship facilities; wetland restoration, dredging, shore protection structures, and flood walls.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil, water resources, ocean, or coastal engineering and excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities include designing construction projects, preparing engineering designs, and supporting analysis of project costs.
You will also be responsible for conducting environmental impact studies, researching and complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements, and implementing scientific and regulatory tasks for projects.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Ocean, or Coastal Engineering; required
- 3 to 5 years of experience; required
- Professional Engineer (AICP, PP, PG, etc.) licensure in Washington or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire; required
- Proficient in AutoCAD; required
- Microstation, Civil3D, or SWMM proficiency; preferred
- Coastal modeling software; preferred
The base salary range for this position is $104,400 to $127,600 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualifications in the job description.
