Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Class A CDL truck driver to join our team at L. B. Foster. As a Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a delivery truck and/or trailer, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of precast concrete products to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload trucks after material and receiver inspection
  • Prepare and package material for shipment as needed
  • Complete operator safety checklist on truck prior to use
  • Comply with all maintenance and preventative maintenance requirements
  • Complete daily log/mileage books accurately and legibly
  • Operate a truck crane to load and unload products
  • Provide excellent customer service with on-time deliveries
  • Promote a culture of proactive safety
  • Maintain shipping board
  • Assist with placing checked-in material in the bin location and note on packing slip
  • Assist with supplying materials to fabrication and stages material for assembly and manufacturing as needed
  • Provide accurate, detailed, and timely paperwork and reports to management
  • Proactively maintain your own housekeeping and keep vehicle clean
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Class A CDL
  • Crane experience preferred
  • 2 years OTR experience preferred
  • Must be able to pass a driver's background check
  • Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Good visual acuity
  • Ability to prioritize and use time efficiently
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work overtime hours when necessary as workload dictates, including weekdays and weekends
  • A high degree of reliability, accountability, professionalism, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
