At Soar Autism Center, we are committed to improving the lives of children on the autism spectrum. As we work towards developing a more effective model of care, the role of the Behavioral Support Technician is crucial. Through our tailored approach, we assist these children in reaching their maximum potential. Our techniques are rooted in the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based form of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. By becoming part of our team, you will play a vital role in our mission-driven care model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our facility, maintaining the highest professional standards.
- Execute intervention strategies developed by our qualified BCBAs, ensuring adherence to the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy.
- Build strong relationships with families, regularly updating them on their child's development within the ABA framework.
- Participate in continuous training and professional growth, staying informed about advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification.
Qualifications:
- Preference for candidates who are enrolled in or have completed a degree program, particularly in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields.
- Ability to obtain and maintain RBT certification (Soar will provide paid training).
- Prior experience working with children and a genuine enjoyment of child interaction.
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
