Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Senior Associate to join our team at Pattillo, Brown & Hill, LLP. As a key member of our Government Assurance, Consulting & Advisory department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements for local government clients.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Audit Engagements: Plan and oversee audit engagements of local governments, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Supervise and Mentor: Supervise and mentor Audit Associates, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations, and providing exceptional service.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting and auditing standards, applying your knowledge to ensure compliance and accuracy in audit engagements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality audit services, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive success.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of public accounting experience, with a strong background in audit and assurance services.
  • Skills: Project management and people skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certifications: CPA certification preferred (or actively pursuing the CPA exam).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with familiarity with CCH ProSystem FX Engagement desired but not required.
