The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring a safe, appealing, and comfortable atmosphere across all Belmont properties.
This role involves the installation, upkeep, and repair of appliances, equipment, structural components, plumbing, and electrical systems in accordance with municipal codes, executing essential maintenance tasks as required.
GardenWalk of Tahlequah is a 174-unit affordable family living community, supported by HUD and USDA/RD funding. The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will deliver comprehensive maintenance services to meet the needs of the property and its residents.This full-time role comes with full company benefits following the successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
Moreover, Facilities Maintenance Specialists may qualify for an incentive package based on criteria related to budget adherence, occupancy rates, rent collection, and compliance with city regulations, funding requirements, and property standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate effectively with residents, colleagues, vendors, contractors, and officials to maintain the community efficiently.
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Accurately complete service requests as per work orders in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to company protocols.
Exhibit trustworthiness and respect for both company and resident assets while performing duties, including completing work orders in residents' apartments when they are not present.
Provide detailed communication regarding work performed to both residents and the Resident Manager.
Assist with the preparation of apartments for new tenants.
Conduct preventative maintenance checks.
Perform regular inspections of grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment.
Respond to emergency maintenance needs.
Be available for on-call emergency duties.

MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
Possession of standard tools necessary for maintenance tasks.
Experience with safe work practices.
Familiarity with electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry.
